Artist’s Statement

In my hours alone, I have learned to mix a viable concoction in my studio where my work is my play. I pull into the crucible the colors of the Seasons, the drama of clouds, the impressions of wind, and sometimes music remembered. The mixture is infused with a passion for fabrics, stirred with an inherited discipline to pursue and complete a task. This artist is warmed by the light applause given to those who are slightly eccentric. The precipitate is a presentation of forms to delight the eye and nurture the imagination. In essence my dreams become visible to others in fabrics that are translucent, supple, dripping with color,… and fat with secrets.
