Artist Statement

Madeline McGinn is a Spokane based multidisciplinary artist working on a large scale focused around the human body. Through her work, she continues to push identity through public vs. private, layering memory and understanding fraught relationships with the body. There is a distinct push for comfort and repetition through this body of work during a time of high productivity for the artist. It is a field guide to getting lost and finding the way back through the organized chaos.
